Music Matters Live 2019 will once again showcase some of the brightest and most promising bands and artists from Asia and beyond, returning for its 14th year this September! Get ready for six big nights of music discovery, with 50 live acts from 15 countries at Clarke Quay and other partner venues.

Samurai Champs is a recording and performing future-hip-hop/R&B duo. Comprised of rapper Jeah and singer Merv xx Gotti, the duo draws influence from their southeast Asian heritage. Following their Urban Artist of the Year nomination in 2019’s Western Canadian Music Awards (WCMAs), Samurai Champs recently released their debut album, Cabernet Sauvignon. Samurai Champs has toured internationally and performed at festivals such as South by Southwest (SXSW), North by Northeast (NXNE), Reeperbahn (Hamburg), The Great Escape (Brighton), Tallinn Music Week, Upstream Music Fest (Seattle), Sound City (Liverpool), BreakOut West (Edmonton) and many more.
