About the event

Following successful seasons in Melbourne and Sydney, Calamity Jane will extend its upcoming Melbourne season into the Comedy Theatre this January. Directed by Richard Carroll, the production stars award winning Virginia Gay (All Saints, Winners & Losers) as the legendary frontierswoman in this stripped-back, rough-and-ready reimagining of the classic musical. Featuring timeless standards such as ‘The Deadwood Stage’, ‘Just Blew In From The Windy City’ ‘Black Hills of Dakota’, and ‘Secret Love’ performed with piano and a grab bag of other instruments, this production injects a unique and raucous sense of spontaneity into the world of musical theatre. Book today and prepare to be immersed in the world of the Golden Garter Saloon!
